I have a set of 900 16 STAs on my WDX. I live where we have a lot of snow and ice, so I had them all siped. They are satisfactory, but as most bias ply tires, they can be a little stiff and lack some qualities we would prefer in a tire in those conditions.
I had the benefit of running Buckshot Gumbo Mudders in QR 78 16 for many years until they stopped producing them in that size.
They were by far the best winter tire I ever owned. It was very disappointing to see them end production.
