Oil Pan Gasket Install

I've read the posts that say not to cut the gasket (FelPro). So, as I'm putting the pan on, how do I arrange both the long and short piece overlaps where they meet at the corner? Do I tuck the side gasket down behind the front gasket, or let it curve up against the front one, and I assume the same for the rear. If I have the side gasket go straight across to but up against the vertical portion of the front gasket, the first bolt hole is mis-aligned by almost 1/8". Thanks
