relay question

I wired my backup lights on my WDX with a switch before a 4 pin relay. As usual, 1 hot wire to the relay, 1 ground to the relay, 1 wire from a toggle switch to activate the relay, and 1 wire to the backups. I noticed at 3 am the backups were on. The toggle switch was off. I disconnected the ground on the battery to turn the light off. I tested the toggle switch and it's fine. I suspect the relay (IMPORT) :( has failed. Does this seem likely? At 82, lying on by back and squeezing up under the dash is not fun.
