it is amazing that they still offer the cheaper, you will burn it up version! I agree that they are great, but do not ignore the distributor bushings, etc in your distributor. My command car ran poorly under way, but perfectly at idle and slow speeds. I changed out the points believing it was ignition related. No change. It turned out my distributor had bad bushings that allowed the dist shaft to wobble and upset timing. John bizal rebuilt my distributor and ive never had a problem since. My 1940s matthews sedan cruiser boat runs 2 prestolite ignition modules (the grandfather to the pertronix) in the 454 gm engines. they just work.
