I have a pulse in the intake. You can put your hand on the bottom of the drain on the filter housing and feel a regular burst of air.
I thought it was a head gasket failing and replaced it - still happened.
So I went at it again, this time with a full valve job, Cummins head gasket, new rings bearings and hone job.
Engine does the same thing. The pulse strikes me as quite regular, I never noticed it before - but can not swear it was not always there. Dropped about 2 grand into that engine inspection in parts. Want to do some trips this summer but not have a break down 500 miles from home or in the back country.
ARB - studs Cummins 4BT - I swear this thing was made after a long weekend, buy hung over mechanics.
75000 miles on the motor, 25000 on the head
This is driving me nuts, if not depressing.
Still seating the rings? Just put 125 miles on it breaking in the new rings.
