Ok, this sounds as though you haven't dealt with the knuckles before. I would suggest before you start, go to the PIF and go to the TIPS section, item "Q," Steering Knuckle Assembly and read through the process. If you are installing a tapered roller bearing in place of the bronze cone, you'll want to go to page 2 of the PIF, item "H" Paul's DIY for additional information. The two knuckle haves will center themselves on the cups once you start tightening the upper steering knuckle arm to adjust the bearing preload, so you really don't need to worry about position of the cups. If you follow the PIF and shock the bearings that will release stress on the bearings and everything will fit as it should. After you shock, you will need to check the bearing preload and adjust it again. If you have any questions, let us know.
