Whenever I start a new rebuilt engine I pressure fill the entire oil system. I under fill the oil pan by 2 quarts. I modified a harden sprayer with a gauge and hose that I attach to the oil pressure port. Pumping up the sprayer I back fill all the oil rifles, bearings etc. Now the engine is fully full with oil. Remove the hose reattach the oil pressure sender. Now as soon s the engine is cranked it has precious oil in the entire engine. Check the oil level in the pan, fill as needed and your good to go.
